Ad Astra is a Latin expression with the meaning “to the stars.” This star quilt is a celestial beauty and will be lovely in any home. Cover sample used Hoffman 885 Dots Ocean batiks. The clear and detailed cutting and sewing diagrams make the block assembly quick and easy!

Fabric Requirements

20 Fat Quarters or 1/4 yard cuts of a variety Multi, Blue, Teal, and Green batiks

Posts: 1/6 yard or use leftover fabric from one of the star fabrics

Star Background and Sashing: 2 3/4 yards of Light batik

Border: 1 1/4 yards (same as one of the star fabrics)

Binding: 1/2 yard (same as one of the star fabrics) 

Backing: 4 Yards of 42" wide fabric

Or 2 Yards of 108" wide fabric for a no-seam back 

Batting: 69" x 82" minimum size
