Beginning Starch Method Applique

Let's make this sweet wallhanging or choose to turn it into a pillow later. Learn the starch method of applique and then at the end of class try your hand at hand applique or machine applique your choice.

Class Supplies for center part (applique) of pattern:

Background 12" square
Small Scraps 6" square or more-
-Greens for stem and leaf
-4-Various colors for your flower

Applique threads-we will discuss matching thread or choosing a neutral
Freezer Paper
Pencil
Small Iron (I like to use the mini Oliso)-these will arrive in store soon
Paper Scissors (Pink Perfect Scissorl)
Fabric Scissors (Green or Aqua Perfect Scissor)
Scissors
Pressing Mat
Hand Sewing Needles (I prefer the Foxglove Cottage Straw Sz 11 Needles)

If you are wanting to learn machine applique to stitch the turned edge pieces down bring your machine and a foot that will allow you to do a small zig zag.
