Oxbow Tote Class
We will be making the Oxbow Tote bag by Noodlehead. This versatile and roomy tote bag comes in two sizes, regular and overnight; features include an exterior and interior pocket and two handles, both a hand hold and a crossbody strap.
First meeting: we will cut out bag elements, interface and prepare straps; discuss pockets and add-ons
Second meeting: commence with the sewing: make pockets, sew outer and inner bag; add zipper; prepare and sew on base
Third meeting: Finish up with anything requiring additional attention
Required Supplies:
- "Oxbow Tote" pattern by Noodlehead
- Exterior fabric: 3/4 yard
- Lining fabric: 1 yard
- Accent fabric: 1/3 yard
- SF101 fusible woven interfacing: 2 yards
- Foam Stabilizer (Annie's Soft and Stable): 1/2 yard
- Heavy weight interfacing (I will provide this)
- Zipper for top closure: 18"
- 1.5" Cotton Webbing for handles: 4 yards
- 1" Cotton webbing for strap holders: 5 inches (or can make with fabric)
- Two 1" D-rings
- One 1.5" Strap slider
- Two 1.5" Swivel snaps
- one size 24 metal snap or one LOXX fastener (recommended)
- Exterior fabric: 1.25 yards
- Lining fabric: 1.5 yards
- Accent fabric: 1/2 yard
- SF101 fusible woven interfacing: 2.25 yards
- Foam stabilizer (Annie's Soft and Stable): 1/2 yard
- Heavyweight interfacing: (I will provide this)
- Zipper for top closure: 24"
- 1.5" Cotton webbing for handles: 4yards
- 1' Cotton webbing for strap holders: 5 inches
- Two 1" D-rings
- One 1.5" Strap slider
- Two 1.5" Swivel snaps
- One size 24 metal snap or one LOXX fastener (recommended)
