Frankenmitts Convertible Mitten Class
Join our dynamic class, designed especially for intermediate knitters, to learn the art of making customizable, convertible mittens. In this class, you will discover the versatility and charm of mittens that switch between fingerless gloves and cozy full coverage to suit any occasion.
Pre-work: ***COMING SOON*** All pre-work must be completed before Class 1.
Class 1: I will give an overview of convertible mitten knitting and outline options for thumbs, fingers and flip-flop design. Students will choose their thumb design and I will demonstrate the two offered techniques: Thumb gusset and the "after-thought" thumb.
Class 2: I will demonstrate how to separate the mitten stitches into the flip-flop cover and inner finger cover and explain how to construct the flip-flop cover and finish the mittens.
