Students will work on blocks for the 70"x84" "Vignette" quilt pattern by Liz Oner from Indie Hipster Quilts.  This pattern features hexagons, diamonds, and equilateral triangles.  We will use bright and beautiful large prints like Kaffe Fasset and Tula Pink for the larger hexagon shapes, and supplement with prints in medium and small scale, as well as some solids.  This is a great way to use up some of those bright scraps and purchase some of the new Kaffe fabrics from In Between Stitches!  You may also use some leftover 2 1/2" strips or a jelly roll.

Students will learn to cut hexagons, 60 degree diamonds and equilateral triangles using two specialty rulers.  Sewing techniques will include setting in Y seams, taming stretchy bias edges, and learning to work in harmony with your sewing machine by using some stitches you may not have used to date.

** This class is for Intermediate Stitchers.  If you are ready to move on to the next level of precision sewing, this is the class for you! **
