In Between Stitches opened February 14, 2002, on Railroad Ave in Livermore, CA. Leslie Emery and Melissa Emery imagined a quilt store that would inspire quilters and create a community of friends; "A Place Where Friendships Grow".
On February 14, 2009 In Between Stitches relocated to its current location in Downtown Livermore. The store now resides in a building that has housed a pharmacy and furniture store, since it was built in 1915. Pulling out up front you are greeted by wonderful window displays that can include flowers, monsters, trees, and more. The new store is awash in sunlight and great lighting courtesy of the three large skylights. The hardwood floors in the store were exposed and finished to add to the old style charm of the store.
Step inside and the store is filled with over 2,200 bolts of fabric. All styles of fabric can be found from Batiks, Civil War, Retro Style, and of course the basics. The quilts hanging in the store are varied from beginner to both by hand and machine. We have something for everyone and even offer quilting classes.
In May 2010 we will be featured in American Patchwork and Quiltings Quilt Sampler Magazine. This magazine is published twice a year and features ten quilt stores from around the country.
Welcome to our store...enjoy.
In Stitches,
Leslie, Melissa and the In Between Stitches Staff
